“Thinkin’ ‘Bout You” Unplugged

“Thinkin’ ‘Bout You” is a Wade tune as-yet-unreleased (although you’ve no doubt heard us play it if you’ve been to a show since the release of Great Depression). You’ll likely hear it again at Go West Fest (and please be advised you can save $5 if you buy your tickets online in advance). Meanwhile, here’s a solo acoustic version to whet your appetite.

St. Pat’s Success and Patio Spring at Lee Harvey’s

First of all, thanks to The Old Monk for including us again in their annual St. Patrick’s Day festivities — and thanks especially to friends and fans old and new (especially those who brought new friends).

For those who missed out, we hope you will join us at Lee Harvey’s on Friday, April 27 at 9 p.m. for our triumphant return to south Dallas’ finest patio. The beer’s cold, the food’s delicious, and there’s never a cover.

Lá Fhéile Pádraig Sona Duit

What’s the Irish way to say Happy St. Patrick’s Day? If you’re in Dallas, it’s by joining us for The Old Monk’s annual festivities on Saturday, March 17. Steer clear of green beer-drinking amateurs on Greenville Avenue and raise a pint of authentic stout with fine handmade music — traditional and new — from 5 to 7 p.m.
UPDATE: The Old Monk folks are kind enough to have us play two sets, so you can catch us between 3:30 and 5 p.m. or 6 and 7:30 p.m. (and if you notice us repeating some songs in those two sets…well, have another round)!

Aside

We’ve not yet met Chris Spector, but he and fellow bloggers at the Midwest Record in Lake Zurich, Illinois have mighty fine taste. Here’s a bit of their take on Great Depression.

“… the Remedies might not chase away the contemporary blues in the air but they let you know there’s someone out there in the same boat that understands. Perhaps a modern version of protest music, tailored for the times, the Remedies are a great left of center organic crew that gets it.”
